Andrea Melillo was born into the world of construction. His father, a building engineer, introduced him to the field, and Andrea grew up in his office, captivated by the intricate drawings and technical details. He earned his Master's degree in Building Engineering and Architecture from the University of Salerno (Italy) and the University of Seville (Spain), receiving multiple international awards and honors. Additionally, he graduated in Construction Management from Quality Leadership University and specialized in the luxury HO.RE.CA. sector with a course at PoliMi (Italy).
Currently, Andrea resides between Panama City (Panama) and Salerno (Italy), where he is a certified engineer in Italy and an architect in Panama, while frequently traveling throughout Latin America.
As the Managing Director at Melillo Group, an international boutique project company, he oversees the integration of the entire design, project management, and construction process. He also serves as the Head of Project Management at Gokto Hospitality, a Switzerland-based consulting and management company renowned for its leadership in luxury hospitality.
Andrea is the Co-Founder of Toa Partners, a consulting team of executives and entrepreneurs specializing in Real Estate, Hospitality, and Development.
Previously, he held the role of Head of Architecture for the Americas and Global Design & Construction Standards Lead for Selina, where he managed a team of over 20 engineers and architects across the Americas, opening more than 60 luxury hotels in the region.
Andrea's extensive experience in project design management includes working with esteemed firms such as George Moreno & Partners and Mallol Arquitectos on high-end residential projects. As a project and design manager, he coordinated every aspect of construction, ensuring meticulous attention to detail.
His diverse professional and social experiences in Spain, Italy, America, and Panama have equipped him with a broad skill set extending beyond architecture and construction. He has developed strong group management and leadership capabilities, adept at collaborating with international teams across multiple locations.
